every comparison table is ranked by a merit score - a weighted combination of price, speed (or equivalent), customer rating, and contract fairness.
merit score formula (broadband example)
- price - 40%
- speed - 25%
- customer rating - 20%
- contract fairness - 15%
a commercial deal can nudge a deal's position slightly - but never enough to push a meaningfully better deal out of sight. the nudge cap is hard-coded, not adjustable by providers.
you can always switch to a pure price or rating sort using the controls above the table. that removes any commercial nudge entirely.
